Reporting an adult abuse concern:
- Normal Working Hours – If you think that an adult with care and support needs is experiencing, or at risk of, abuse or neglect, contact us on 01926 412080. This line is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
- Out-of-office hours – an emergency duty social worker is available from 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and from 5pm on Friday until 8.30am on the next normal working day. Call us on 01926 886922.

For many years, doctors have prescribed opioid medicines (originally used for cancer pain) for chronic pain. However, research now shows that these medicines are far less effective than was initially thought (because chronic pain is different from cancer pain) and they have many negative long-term side effects. For this reason we will regularly review all patients prescribed these medicines, and explore other ways in which we can help you to manage your pain.

If you have any concerns that a patient may be at high risk of having a fire in their home your local Fire & Rescue Service offer free Home Safety Checks. In the West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) area, these are called Safe & Well Visits. These visits involve Officers visiting the most vulnerable people in their homes, offering advice and fitting essential equipment when needed that can reduce the risk of injury and death from fire.
Whilst carrying out a Safe & Well visit, WMFS staff will also ask a range of health related questions and seek to make referrals to key providers. The aim of these visits is to not only reduce fire risk but also reduce and delay the need for acute Health and Social Care services.
